My previous work has explored a variety of styles including realism, abstract expressionism, fantasy, and Sufi calligraphy. I have also worked as a portrait artist and have done various public murals.

 

My more recent work is stylistically influenced by both traditional East Asian painting and 20th century Pop art. I have been described as a cartoonist although I would disagree with this and I do not do commercial work.

 

Of late, I have become preoccupied with the conflict in Afghanistan and my work reflects this. The art world is full of talkers and theorists but I am a firm believer in letting the paintings speak for themselves - so enjoy!
