About the paintings

My previous work has explored a variety of styles including realism, abstract expressionism, fantasy, and Sufi calligraphy. I have also worked as a portrait artist and have done various public murals.

My more recent work is quintessentially post-modern in that it shamelessly appropriates and synthesizes various eclectic influences. I describe it as "Where's Wally?" meets Jackson Pollock meets Tibetan Tangka painting.

Themes centre around the relationship between humans and animals and the seemingly paradoxical coexistence of violence and beauty in nature.

But at the end of the day, the paintings are really all about having fun - I hope you enjoy them!
